Do you feel like you have a tight neck sometimes? Or often?? The average head weighs about 11 pounds, about the same as a bowling ball. Now imagine that you would hold the bowling ball straight over your head with straight arms… You could do it pretty easily for some time, right? And now if you stretch the arms in front of you… how long can you hold the bowling ball? (before you start swearing???) Well, it’s kind of like your posture. If you head is nicely aligned over your shoulders, your neck muscles don’t need to work that much. Now check yourself while you are sitting at the computer… head forward… watching TV… head forward… driving your car…. head forward… riding a bike… reading… writing… Get the point?
